Euskal, Corte, Red Wall, Castelbianco, Terminal, Toirano, Planetarium… all the secret cliffs of the Riviera finally revealed. The new super area for climbing just outside Finale Ligure.
5 valleys (Val Varatella, Val Nimbalto, Val Pennavaire, Valle Argentina and Val Nervia), 80 cliffs, 1200 streets, 20,000 nails, a huge job …
The Ligurian Riviera di Ponente has become in the last 10 years the largest Italian area for sports climbing. Not only Finale Ligure then, but new areas for climbing in the hinterland of Pietra Ligure and Loano, but above all Albenga and Sanremo.
Each cliff is described in this guide through a brief introduction, access and other information through the use of symbols that highlight the main features of the wall. For the major walls there is a further subdivision in sectors, also here with the use of symbols, therefore we arrive at the description of the itineraries that are presented with their name, length, difficulty, beauty and on the line below the name of the openers and for the level routes or above the 7th (the great barrier of the 80s) also the name of those who first traveled freely (RP).
In addition to this, some symbols appear to describe the inclination of the street in the key section, the style of climbing that determines the difficulty and the type of nailing. In the multi-pitch routes these symbols refer to an overall assessment of the route.
